Timing-chain tensioner wear, injector-seal leaks and crankshaft bearing failure risk are widely documented on the TDV6/SDV6, backed by multiple TSBs and specialist sources. Injector harness oil contamination and crank sensor failure are an established pattern on the Discovery 2's Td5. The modern Discovery's Ingenium diesel shares the same timing-chain and injector-seal pattern found across the rest of the current Land Rover range.
