LAND ROVER AJ300P ENGINE
The AJ300P is Jaguar Land Rover's 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine, part of the Ingenium family introduced in 2019. It's fitted across five Land Rover model lines - Defender, Discovery, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar - and is available in both mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) configurations.
The AJ300P uses a twin-scroll turbocharger and forms the petrol six-cylinder option across the Land Rover range where larger V8 power isn't specified.

APPLICATIONS BY MODEL
Across the Defender (L663), the AJ300P powers the P400 variant from 2020 onwards in mild-hybrid form. The Discovery (L462) uses it in P360 and P400 badging from 2021. Both the Range Rover (L460) and Range Rover Sport (L461) employ the AJ300P across a wider spectrum - P400 in MHEV form, plus P440e, P460e and P550e in PHEV configurations from 2022. The Range Rover Velar (L560) carries the AJ300P in P340 and P400 badging from 2019, all in mild-hybrid form.
