Every engine rebuild we complete at Land Rover Garage comes with a 12-month unlimited-mileage warranty on parts and workmanship. This is our guarantee that the work we've done meets the standards we set for ourselves — and that we'll put it right if something goes wrong.
Parts covered
All internal engine components replaced during the rebuild — pistons, camshafts, bearings, valve assemblies, timing chains, timing gears, oil pump, crankshaft, and gaskets.
Labour covered
If a warrantied component fails, we cover the labour to diagnose, remove, repair, and refit — you don't pay for our time to fix our work.
Unlimited mileage
Unlike many engine warranties that cap coverage at 12,000 or 30,000 miles, our warranty has no mileage limit during the 12-month term.
Transferable (subject to inspection)
If you sell your Land Rover during the warranty period, the warranty may be transferable to the new owner — subject to our standard inspection terms.
Our warranty is governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and aligns with BS AU257:2002, the British Standard for remanufactured engines. That means you have statutory protection in addition to our own guarantee.

What exactly does the 12-month warranty cover?
Our warranty covers all internal engine components replaced during the rebuild — pistons, camshafts, bearings, valve assemblies, timing chains, timing gears, oil pump, crankshaft, and gaskets. It also covers the labour to diagnose and repair any warrantied failure. Wear items not part of the rebuild (spark plugs, filters, belts, hoses) are not covered.
Is the warranty unlimited mileage or capped?
Unlimited mileage. Unlike many engine warranties that cap coverage at 12,000 or 30,000 miles, our warranty has no mileage limit during the 12-month term.
What isn't covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover failures caused by improper maintenance, incorrect oil or coolant, overheating, neglect, or accident. It also doesn't cover lacquered valves or failures due to carbon deposits — these are the result of how the engine has been run and maintained, not a defect in our workmanship.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my Land Rover?
Yes — subject to our standard inspection terms. If you sell your Land Rover during the warranty period, the warranty may be transferred to the new owner. Contact us to arrange the transfer.
Do I need to register my warranty?
We register the warranty for you on completion of your rebuild. You don't need to fill out any forms — your warranty certificate is provided with your vehicle and is valid from the date of completion.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us directly by phone or email. We'll arrange for your Land Rover to be recovered to our workshop (if needed), inspect the engine, and carry out the repair work. We handle claims directly — no third-party warranty companies involved.
Does the warranty cover engines fitted by other garages?
No — the warranty only covers engines rebuilt and fitted by Land Rover Garage. We stand behind our own work, but we cannot guarantee the quality of work done by other garages.
What's the difference between our warranty and a manufacturer warranty?
Our warranty is a specialist workshop warranty covering the engine rebuild work we've carried out. It's not a manufacturer's new-vehicle warranty, and it doesn't cover the rest of the vehicle. However, it does give you the same 12-month coverage on the engine itself that you'd expect from any reputable specialist.
