Access & Preparation
Vehicle on lift, bonnet removed where needed, under-trays and heat shields removed, oil and coolant drained.
Removal
Turbocharger located, exhaust and oil/coolant lines disconnected, mounting bolts unbolted, turbo lifted out.
Inspection
Turbo condition assessed, mounting faces checked, oil feed lines inspected for coking, wastegate and sensors tested.
Reassembly
New or rebuilt turbo fitted, new gaskets and bolts used, oil and coolant lines reconnected, boost pipes and exhaust remade.
Calibration & Testing
New oil and filter, coolant refilled. JLR diagnostic calibration (turbo and air path) carried out. Road test performed.
